Alix Flake
Alix Flake, PharmD, is a licensed pharmacist and PhD student in pharmaceutical sciences at Julius-Maximilians-Universität Würzburg, working under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Michael Decker. Her research focuses on the development and synthesis of molecular probes for target fishing based on neuroprotective cannabinoids, with applications in Alzheimer’s disease. She also teaches organic chemistry for pharmacy students at JMU Würzburg. She previously worked as a visiting student researcher at the University of Otago (New Zealand) and completed research internships at Kiel University. She is a co-author of peer-reviewed research published in the European Journal of Medicinal Chemistry and has received competitive fellowships from the Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes and the DAAD.
