Katarzyna Starowicz

Katarzyna Starowicz (PhD) is a neuropharmacologist, Head of Department of Neurochemistry at the Institute of Pharmacology Polish Academy of Sciences (www.if-pan.krakow.pl). She holds M.Sc. degree from Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland and Ph.D. degree from Utrecht University, the Netherlands, received habilitation in 2013 at the Jagiellonian University Medical College and since 2021 holds an academic rank of Professor of Medicine and Health Sciences. She's a member of the Scientific Council of Maj Institute of Pharmacology Poliash Academy of Sciences (PAS) and Institute for Physical Chemistry PAS, a member of Program Council of Accademia Polacca in Rome, she also serves as a reviewer for several scientific journals. She is the President-Elect of the International Cannabinoid Research Society (ICRS) and will start her term in September 2024.
