Robert Laprairie
Robert Laprairie is an Associate Professor and Research Chair in Drug Discovery and Development at the University of Saskatchewan. He completed his B.Sc. in Biochemistry (2010), M.Sc. in Pharmacology/Neuroscience (2012), and Ph.D. in Pharmacology (2016), followed by postdoctoral research at The Scripps Research Institute. His expertise lies in molecular pharmacology, with a focus on the endocannabinoid system, ligand bias, and allosteric modulation of GPCRs. He leads a lab studying novel GPCR ligands through binding, signaling, and in vivo assays, collaborating nationally and internationally. He has authored 67 peer-reviewed publications and has received continuous funding since 2012. He has held leadership roles in the Canadian Consortium for the Investigation of Cannabinoids and is an Associate Editor for Frontiers in Pharmacology.
